I have not picture, but since my blog is my family journal, I had to write what my dear husband did. Last Wednesday at work a bouquet of tulips (my favorite) arrived with a card, well four cards actually. I was puzzled... not my birthday, not my anniversary. And written upon the cards was the following poem:
Roses are Red and these tulips are too, But these aren't the only surprise waiting for you!
A special woamn deserves a special mate, and if you'll have me, I'll be your date!
This Friday night, I have a plan, ubt only a lseuth can know the mind of this man.
So decifer the lcues if you should dare, but you can only guess once, so guess with great care.
The game is afoot, as Sherlock once said, so look for the first clue in the vicinity of my head!
Well, I just adore mysteries and the clue was certainly mysterious. I went hunting for the next clue in the shower, the hair products drawer, the computer, and finally found them above the bed... two pieces of paper folded like rings and interlocked. There was another clue that rhymed and from that, and a couple of kind hints from my hubby, I found out we were going to see the opera Marriage of Figaro. I've only been to the opera once, La Traviatta, at the Met in New York, with my hubby and my two best girlfriends from business school... and it was amazing. MofF was so fun, and I was touched by the romantic streak of my hubby.
I am so blessed with his love of great music and his ability to create.
If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music. -Gustav Mahler

Bell's prayer
I realize that I should probably record Bell's prayers as well, being that there just as interesting and detail-filled as her sister's. Last night this is what her prayer included:
"Thank you for oatmeal. And we're going to eat some soon. Oh, and I love my new pajamas... they're so cute! And I love Jesus...."
It used to be that we would alternate who would say the prayer, but now they both insist on saying their own prayer outloud. I know why God wants us to be like little children... they're so eager to talk to Him and their prayers are so personal and sincere.
One of these nights I'm going to have to secretly have the video camera running, so I can replay these sweet moments. It goes so fast...

Do you like surprises?
I saw this on my friend Kimberly's website, and I wanted something made by her, so now I will do the same.
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. My choice. For you. (I know...a little scary, but maybe fun, huh?)This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:1- I make no guarantees that you will like it .2- What I create will be just for you.3- It'll be done by the end of March. 4- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a loaf of homemade bread. It may be a bag, a card, an apron. It may be a book, a scarf, a poem. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure! The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. Ready, Set ....GO!!!

Randomness
Daddy's sister has been teaching the girls a little American History. She wanted the girls to show what they knew...
Aunt Marin: Lady, who is the Father of our country?
Lady: George Washington, and I have bones in my feet.
My girls are so smart ;)
