A Rite of Passage

This might look like another happy visit to the hair dresser, as Bell beams in her racecar chair.

And it looks like lots of fun having your hair cut in a pink car, like Lady.

But this is how the trip REALLY started: every parents' nightmare... an abandoned pair of scissors admist shreds of paper and HAIR

No girls to be found, but there is a trail of hair from the kitchen to the basement...

And so off to the hairdressers we go to see if we can salvage their hair. Here is the before. You can't see the stair step layers along the left side of Lady's hair... but they were there.

And Bell didn't have layers... just a bunch of 7 inch bangs right in the front, cut halfway into the back. Daddy begged for them to keep the length and try "layering."

In the end... they both ended up with blunt shoulder-length bobs... perfect for summer.

Bell smiles shyly as she adjusts to her new do.

It could have been much, much worse... (shaved bangs?) so we celebrated their healthy new looks with balloons and lollipops.

Best friends... they play together, sleep together, and cut each other's hair together.

Oh What Do You Do in the Summertime?

Grandma Bonnie is back from the UK and the girls love putting puzzles together with her.

They also love going on bike rides with their Daddy and Mommy. Daddy has amazing strength and balance as he rides with ALL three girls at once. Mommy is lucky to keep herself balanced on her bike.

Baby G loves to get into everything. "You caught me.."

Last Day of Dance Class

The girls had their last dance class in June. They were in the 4 year old class, even though they were still 3. The first day was a bit rough, but they really blossomed with every class. Their teacher said she was amazed with their progress. The girls loved every minute and can't wait to start in the Fall.
The first dance was with ribbons. Here Lady twirls her ribbon streamer as she dances around the room.

Lady takes air~

...again and again.

Project Manager by day Fairy Godmother by night

A throw back to my days of drama. I was cast as the fairy godmother for a photo shoot for Cinderella. The photos haven't been processed yet, but here's a rough one. Let's face it... it's never flattering when the photographer is on the ground shooting upwards... but it's all for the show. My girls were at the photo shoot and wore their princess dresses for the occasion. They even fought with one of the evil step sisters. Too much fun~!
