Incredibly Romantic

I have not picture, but since my blog is my family journal, I had to write what my dear husband did. Last Wednesday at work a bouquet of tulips (my favorite) arrived with a card, well four cards actually. I was puzzled... not my birthday, not my anniversary. And written upon the cards was the following poem:

Roses are Red and these tulips are too, But these aren't the only surprise waiting for you!
A special woamn deserves a special mate, and if you'll have me, I'll be your date!
This Friday night, I have a plan, ubt only a lseuth can know the mind of this man.
So decifer the lcues if you should dare, but you can only guess once, so guess with great care.
The game is afoot, as Sherlock once said, so look for the first clue in the vicinity of my head!

Well, I just adore mysteries and the clue was certainly mysterious. I went hunting for the next clue in the shower, the hair products drawer, the computer, and finally found them above the bed... two pieces of paper folded like rings and interlocked. There was another clue that rhymed and from that, and a couple of kind hints from my hubby, I found out we were going to see the opera Marriage of Figaro. I've only been to the opera once, La Traviatta, at the Met in New York, with my hubby and my two best girlfriends from business school... and it was amazing. MofF was so fun, and I was touched by the romantic streak of my hubby.

I am so blessed with his love of great music and his ability to create.
