I think the first time we had any substantial-stick-to-the-ground snow was the first week of December, but it's taken me a little while to post the pics. It's been snowing lots since, and the girls still think it's beautiful, but they don't like to get cold.. so they watch from the window and then run and sit by the fireplace. Most of the shots I took have eyes closed because it was so bright. Gretters on the left, Bell in pink and Lady in purple (with her kitty rainboots.. yes, we've already managed to lose one of her snowboots). If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music. -Gustav Mahler

First Day of Real Snow
