November: Baby E 9 months Going on 10!

During November Baby E seemed to quickly morph into a much older baby. She became much more interested in playing with toys (and her sisters).
Her favorite toys were anything she could teeth on. Her favorite playmate is her big sister G. They have a lot of fun laughing and making faces at one another.
At 9 months, Baby E learned to cruise, pull herself to standing, and right before she turned 10 months... she mastered crawling.
It was also during her 9th month that we moved her out of her Bumbo Seat and into her Perego highchair. She prefers to feed herself, and will grab the spoon if you try and feed her. She loves to bang on her highchair tray and sing. At her 9 month check-up she weighed 17 lbs. She still LOVES to nurse and prefers that to bottle feeding. She finally will hold her own bottle, but her opinion is breast is best. She has already shown signs of stubborness, which matches the hint of that fiery red hair that she has. She still has us all wrapped around her little finger, but what a cute finger it is!

November: The ToothFairy Pays Bell a Visit

Much to our surprise... Miss Bell lost her tooth on November 2nd... one of the first in her kindergarten class to do so. She put her tooth in an envelope and placed it under her pillow. The next morning, the toothfairy left her a couple of dollars. Bell was worried that the envelope would be too heavy for the Tooth Fairy to fly away with, but Mom assured her that the Tooth Fairy was used to envelopes, so the tooth wouldn't get lost. Towards the end of November, Bell lost her second bottom tooth, and this time the Tooth Fairy brought her a package of Silly Bands. How did she know that was what Bell wanted? Amazing!

Milk: it's what's for dinner

G: Mom, are you feeding Baby E milk from your bipple?
Me: Yes, Gretters, I am
G: I have bipples, too
Me: Yes you do, but you do not have milk in your bipples
G: I have JUICE in my bipples!

Where did November go?

I haven't given up on blogging. I think I just find it daunting to download all the pictures, decide which ones to do and then write. The more I put it off, of course, the more daunting the tasks grows. So below is a synopsis and this weekend I will work on the photos..

  1. Nov 2nd... Bell loses her first tooth (lower front left)
  2. Daddy passed one of his doctoral board exams
  3. Baby E learns to crawl
  4. Roadtrip to Seattle where we visited Aunt Dana and company and mommy's life-time friend, Katie
  5. Grand Wolf Lodge (indoor waterpark in a hotel)
  6. Portland visit with Grandma Goldenstar and her side-kick Papa
  7. Anniversary get-away to the beach (8 years!)
  8. Driving in Blizzard conditions
  9. Nov. 30th... Bell loses her SECOND tooth (lower front right)

H-a-l-l-o-w-e-e-n

This year we went with the family theme of Pirates! Daddy turned our stroller into a pirate ship that we took around the mall (as it was pouring down rain outside and too wet for trick or treating). Before trick or treating at the mall, we went to a big Pirate restaurant, where we ate pizza and played games.

Daddy putting the finishing touches on...

The side view. People went crazy for this ship. We had all kinds of people ask to take their picture with Daddy (even two guys visiting from Israel). Everyone said the ship made their night. Daddy was surprised no one else decorated his/her stroller. No one is as fun as our dad!

After the mall, the rain finally stopped, so Daddy took the three older girls out through the neighborhood. Mommy and Baby E handed out candy. It was a fun night!

9 months old!

Baby E is 9 months! Still no teeth, but gnawing on everything!

She is never at a lack for attention

Never lacking in kisses and loves. In fact, she hates to be put down or play by herself.

She loves peas, squash and sweet potatoes. Still doesn't like pears!

Rocks on all fours and pulls herself up, but no crawling yet.

A deep thinker; always observing

Loves to put anything into her mouth. We have pulled out several hair pretties, a feather, paper, our hair...

We're still undecided if her hair is going more red or more blonde
Happy 9 months, Baby E!

Snow... in October!

A few days before Halloween we woke up to a winter wonderland. The kids loved playing outside in the snow, but mom hopes this doesn't mean an extra long winter.
