Mommy Milk

Conversation I had this morning with the girls while I was nursing the baby...

Lady: Mommy, stop holding Baby G

Me: I have to hold her because I'm feeding her-- she's hungry and needs Mommy Milk

Lady: No, not Mommy Milk... she needs Daddy Milk

Me: (laughing uncontrollably) Daddy doesn't have any milk; she needs Mommy Milk

Lady: No... Daddy Milk

Me: (still laughing heartily) Daddies don't have milk, only mommies make milk for babies

Bell: Yeah... Daddy doesn't know how to make milk

Me: (still laughing trying to imagine Daddy making milk)

I hope this makes your day like it made mine!

Ha, ha! Have your girls started "nursing" their dolls/stuffed animals? That was quite a shock when I first saw Kade doing it to his little pillow (he was 2). I wasn't sure if I should be amused or upset. I went with amused and decided he'd figure it out when he got older. I think I've even caught Maura giving her baby penguin a "drink."

Too funny. I can just picture you sitting on the sofa, nursing the wee one, and laughing. Makes me wish I were there!
